Credit Unions were founded on the philosophy of “people helping people” and that’s what we strive to achieve within our local community. Below you will see who we are currently partnering with and how you can help these amazing organizations.
Willow’s Wings is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Animal Sanctuary and Rescue, we rescue the misfit creatures of the world! We are devoted to caring for all animals large and small, many of which have been left abandoned, neglected and abused. We treat every life with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Willow’s Wings Animal Sanctuary & Rescue runs solely on the donations it receives from amazing people like you!
Starting November 27th, HFCU will be launching a supply drive in all three of our local branches to directly benefit all the animals at Willow’s Wings Animal Sanctuary & Rescue. Click the links below to view Willow’s Wings Wishlist or make a donation via paypal.

We had the honor of visiting Willow’s Wings Animal Sanctuary and Rescue and meeting Willow Sullivan on November 20th to fully understand all the amazing things she does for these animals. For Willow it’s all about helping these animals and she fully accepts that her sanctuary will most likely be a forever home for these animals. We are so lucky to have an amazing organization like this in our community. Please watch the video above to see more about Willow’s Wings.
Horace Mann Elementary School
Horace Mann Elementary School is located on the west side of the city, Horace Mann serves approximately 300 students each year. Their student-centered school ranges from kindergarten through 5th grade.
Our partnership with HME started back in March of 2018, where we donated benches to their “Calming Bench” program. We themed our benches to “Throw Your Troubles Away.” It allows students to remove themselves from bad situations by sitting on the bench, writing down what is bothering them, and “throwing” their troubles away.
We are currently doing a coat drive with HME, called “Thanks For Giving” coat drive, that will be going until December 31, 2018. We are accepting new to gently used coats from grades kindergarten-5th. All three of our branches are accepting the donations.
We delivered our first set of coats back on November 20th. Our goal is to fill HME’s closet with kids coats, so all children have coats this winter.
Please consider donating a coat today!
