Horizons Federal Credit Union held its 16th Family Fun Friday on Friday, August 25th at the credit union’s main office in Binghamton.
The award-winning Family Fun Friday provides free, fun and educational activities for children of all ages. This year the children enjoyed games with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and Devils, face painting, visits from mascots Rowdy the Pony and Baxter, a school supply backpack giveaway, and live entertainment from Lori and iHeartRadio.
Nearly 200 children received school supplies which were provided by Horizons FCU with the help of donations from Walmart, Target, and ACCO Brands. Backpacks were provided by the credit union and Liberty Mutual agent Greg Tifft.
A press conference was also held to commemorate the event. Horizons FCU President & CEO Mario DiFulvio was joined by Broome County Executive Jason Garnar and New York State Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, who spoke to local media about the importance of the event and what it means to the community.
