Who Qualifies for
Horizons Federal Credit Union Membership
Horizons FCU's Field of Membership (FOM) includes any person who lives, works, worships, or attends school in, and businesses and other legal
entities located in Broome County, NY. In addition, anyone qualifying for membership under the Field of Membership Rules below can join Horizons. Becoming a member requires opening a Savings/Share Account and paying a $1 fee. Members must maintain a minimum balance of $5 in their Savings/Share Account.
Additionally:
- Spouses of persons who died while within the FOM of Horizons FCU
- Volunteers in the community and organizations of such persons
- Members of the immediate family
(spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships) or household (persons living in the same residence maintaining a single economic unit)
Remember, it is not necessary for the primary eligible member to join the credit union in order for the immediate family member to join.
