COURTESY PAY DISCLOSURE

It is the policy of the Horizons Federal Credit Union (Credit Union) to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and to conduct business in a safe and sound matter.

DISCLAIMER:

The Credit Union's Courtesy Pay plan is a non-contractual courtesy and is discretionary. It is not an obligation of the Credit Union and the Credit Union may refuse to provide the courtesy on any personal checking account at any time and from time to time. The account-holder does not have a contractual right to Courtesy Pay and payment is not guaranteed by the Courtesy Pay Plan.

Courtesy Pay may provide certain account-holders in "good-standing", as determined by the Credit Union, with the ability to overdraw their personal checking account up to an amount determined by the Credit Union. Available amount of the overdraft is set at the sole discretion of the Credit Union. The member must have a checking account  and be at least 18 years of age to qualify for Courtesy Pay.

Insufficient balances may result from, but not be limited to: A) Check payments, ACH, ATM or Checking debits, Internet Bill Payer payments; B) Payments authorized by the account-holder; C) Unpaid return of items deposited by the account-holder; D) Imposition of financial institution service charges; E) Deposit of items which according to the Credit Union's Funds Availability Policy, are treated as not  yet  "available" or finally paid.

We are not obligated to pay any item presented for payment if the account does not contain sufficient collected funds. However, if the account-holder maintains the account in good standing, defined as, but not limited to: A) Making regular deposits sufficient to cover transactions; B) Bringing the account to a positive balance at least once every 30 days or less; C) Not causing the Credit Union a loss; D) Not having any delinquent obligations; E) No legal orders, garnishments, executions or levies, including bankruptcy notices; F) Not engaging in suspicious or abusive activity.

We may, at our sole discretion, pay their reasonable overdrafts as a non-contractual courtesy. Generally, we will not pay an overdraft in total excess of your tier limit for personal checking accounts. These limits exclude our Non-Sufficient Funds and/or Courtesy Pay charges. When multiple withdrawals are processed in the same debit posting, items will be posted in the order of lowest to highest amount. Payments in total excess of your tier limit will be made at the sole discretion of the Credit Union, are not guaranteed, and must be approved by management.

LIMITATIONS:
This feature is available only to personal accounts. We may limit the number of accounts per account-holder or per household. Additionally, we reserve the right to not approve any overdrafts against any account until we can verify that the account is being maintained in good standing.

ACCOUNT FEES:
Whether or not we pay or return a Non-Sufficient Fund item, a per-item fee will be charged to your account as a Non-Sufficient Fund, Overdraft or Courtesy Pay charge, as set forth in our fee schedule.
